Experience Trinity's dynamic music and arts — building the body of Christ through God’s creative gifts. All choirs and ensembles are open to anyone wishing to dedicate their talents and time as a musical offering to God. No auditions are required, just a commitment to serve. The primary ensemble for 11:00 AM worship performs a wide variety of traditional music from Renaissance to modern jazz and everything in between. The Chancel Choir performs at least one major concert per year with orchestra; most recently in 2012 with the Morten Lauridsen “Lux Aeterna,” “God’s Trombones” by Roy Ringwald as well as the Haydn "Lord Nelson Mass" in 2011, "5 Mystical Songs" by Vaughan-Williams and other choral masterpieces in 2010, the Faure "Requiem" in 2008, "Christmas Oratorio" by Saint-Saens in 2006, and the Vivaldi "Gloria" in 2004. The Chancel Choir has sung at the Washington National Cathedral in 2008 and is a regular performer at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. Their 2012 performance marked the choir's 4th appearance at the festival in 5 years. This ensemble is always looking for talented individuals; experience is not necessary, all levels of music reading accepted (even if you can't read at all). The choir practices on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM and on Sunday mornings at 10:30 in the choir room. Hope to see you! The main ensemble for 8:30 AM worship performs contemporary Christian music with a live band. All singers and instrumentalists welcome! The Praise Team practices at 7:30 AM on Sunday morning just before worship. This adult handbell ensemble provides music for worship periodically for the 11:00 AM service. If you have a busy schedule, this ensemble is for you! Musicians of all skill levels and experience welcome. The Ringers practice on Wednesdays from 4:45 to 5:30 PM. Choir for 3rd through 6th graders. Practice is Wednesday from 5:30-6:00 PM during the school year. Preschool through 2nd grade choir. Practice is Wednesday from 6:30-7:00 PM during the school year. |
